Google Maps Envelopes
Not a Google initiative or an April Fool’s gag, Google Mail Envelopes is a project by two industrial design students at Syracuse University, who posit a “send envelope” button in Gmail that prints a map showing directions from the sender’s address to the recipient that can be folded into an envelope for mailing. (You know, mail.) I imagine the metaphor falls down, though, if the sender’s address is not north and west of the recipient’s. Via Engadget and Mike Elgan.
