Some Medieval Maps

University course pages are frequently hidden gems. Readings for week nine of Prof. Kelly’s Medieval Literature and Culture course at Northeastern University focus on maps and travel literature from the 13th to 15th centuries, and include some excellent scans of the Hereford Mappa Mundi, a Genovese portolano, and a Ptolemaic world map from 1486.
